Cathé is a proud mom! Her oldest graduated from pre-school this week with top marks on her report card. Her family is excited to continue work on the yard through the rest of the summer.

She has submitted several short stories to local and regional publications as well as found new life and inspiration for her blog.
Judy Berna had a great week, receiving two special packages in the mail. One, from one of her favorite authors, Mary Roach, who had gone above and beyond by signing a special inscription in her latest book. The second, a book on adoption, written by a family friend in Brazil who regularly trades children with Judy, for cross cultural experiences. Some day, once she learns Portuguese, she may get to read it!
Kathy Ceceri is feverishly preparing for a graduation party Saturday for her oldest son, who is officially done with homeschooling and off to study computer game design at RIT in the fall. She suspects that she will miss his participation in family activities like this week's discussion of Machiavelli's "The Prince," during which he convincingly compared the Medici to Donald Trump.
So far this week Laura's family has rescued a baby bird from a snake, two turtles from the road, and lots of scrap metal from the garbage. Laura is writing about finding "art" on the farm and about a childhood quest.
Nicole will be picking strawberries with her family as her favorite farm opens Saturday. She plans to make jam while wearing giant protective gloves that make her feel like a mad scientist.

Rebecca: On Friday, The Academy of Bekaxander in Voorhinth will be hosting an Olympics for the last day of Greek Week camp. There will be many Feats of Intellect competitions between the kids and their parents. The kids are also performing a traditional Greek dance, and reciting original poems of different types of "love" accompanied by original music on traditional Greek instruments. If the food prepared during camp week is any example, the food at this final event will be fantastic. And costumes!
Sarah Pinault has finally finished The Once and Future King by TH White and is looking forward to The Memory Keeper''s Duaghter. The baby chicks are now chickens and will hopefully be flying the coop this weekend and moving outside.
