The last teaser for Rise of the Planet of the Apes revealed fleeting glimpses of the actual “rise” of the primates. But in the latest trailer, the revolt is in full effect, with chimps taking on the human race in the streets of San Francisco.
Director Ruper Wyatt‘s origin-story film stars James “I like having jobs” Franco as a scientist whose genetic experiments get out of hand. All simian hell breaks loose (naturally). The film also stars Andy Serkis as Caesar, the chimp that gets wise, and Slumdog Millionaire‘s Freida Pinto.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes‘ evolution revolution hits theaters Aug. 5.
