After a whole lot of drama, the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is supposed to actually open very soon. Hopefully, it goes a little better than this Sesame Street spoof.
The Muppets' SpiderMonster, The Musical hits on many of the hang-ups the Spidey musical has encountered to date – false-start openings, Spider-Man falls, first-time Broadway composers (U2's Bono and the Edge).
"You must be patient, sir, it is Bono's first show ever," SpiderMonster (played by Grover) says in the clip, after being flung from the stage by Muppet Bono into the lap of a fan.
It's priceless.
Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark opens Tuesday on Broadway. Sesame Street returns for its 42nd season in September.
