Baby's first DNA image by Kimberly Chapman, used with permission When I saw the picture for Baby's First DNA pattern, I had to share it with our readers. The attention to detail in Kimberly Chapman's design of this knitted toy is incredible. She even gives further explanation in her image gallery on keeping the design as close to real DNA as possible (even separate instructions on how to twist the knit pieces so they spiral in the correct direction).

Kimberly has a site full of patterns and tutorials (if you are unfamiliar with using double pointed needles, the tutorials will be very helpful). If you are geeky about knitting and fiber arts like I am, check out the Baby's First DNA knitted pattern and others by Kimberly Chapman.

As it also happens, Kimberly is a fan of GeekMom and was kind enough to let us use her image so we could share her wonderful work with our readers.
