My husband owns two ukuleles, one of which he refinished himself. When he looks for inspiration in songs to learn, he looks to the interwebs...specifically YouTube (in most cases). Here is a list of nerdy girly uke players for you to check out! Hopefully the song stylings of one of these talented ladies will inspire you!
- "Angela" of The Doubleclicks - Angela has been know to pick up a ukulele from time to time. You can hear her play ukulele in The Doubleclicks recent song-a-week submission, "Be My Stalker." Their album is available on iTunes.
- Jennifer Teeter - Her song "Nerdgasm" says a lot. Think of a female Jonathan Coulton with a ukulele. Give some of her other songs a listen
.
- Kate Micucci - She's half of the duo Garfunkel & Oats. Funny, spunky...inappropriate..., and plays the uke! There are many Garfunkel & Oats
songs available on Amazon.
- Kristen Shirts - Another member of the ukulele community who has played with Jonathan Coulton. She can be seen in the video below with Molly Lewis playing on one uke.

- Lauren Fairweather - She doesn't always play ukulele, and it isn't always nerdy, but songs like "Nerdfighter" show that there is talent here, and, a like of Hogwarts. Her albums are available on Amazon.
- Molly Lewis - She has been known to play with Paul and Storm and Jonathan Coulton. Most recently she was invited to play at Harvard University in honor of Stephen Fry. Molly's music is also available on Amazon
.
Please note that some of the music mentioned above may not be suitable for all audiences...
