Activision dropped the first few official screenshots of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Thursday morning.

[eventbug]Like the previous games in the series, Modern Warfare 3 will take you to combat scenarios all over the world. At a pre-E3 preview event last week, its developers said it would feature urban combat in Manhattan and London, plus areas "all over Europe, Africa, Russia and the Himalayas."

Co-developers Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games showed a live demo of two of the game's scenes. In the first, a squad took down a nest of Russians that had holed up on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange in a burned-out Manhattan. Later, they found themselves aboard a subway train that was screaming through the London Underground, past platforms full of startled commuters.

Activision will release the game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 8.
