According to some Bible-thumper who's been wrong before, The Rapture arrives Saturday. So multimedia remix champs Eclectic Method and others have stepped up their sarcasm before the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse arrive.
Method's killer reel "The Apocamix" (above) splices kinetic electro with alternately brilliant and cheesy sci-fi staples like Dr. Strangelove, Independence Day, Armageddon and Mars Attacks!.
Another hilarious entry comes courtesy of Taiwan 3-D studio Next Media Animation. Cleverly titled "Apocalypse Wow!" (below), the clip mercilessly skewers the May 21 end-times fervor with acid satire and clunky CGI. Bonus points go to the aliens smoking Earth out of a bong.
You'd better watch these clips soon, though: According to Christian broadcaster Harold Camping – who owns a degree in civil engineering from my alma mater, UC Berkeley – you've only got another day to enjoy them before all hell breaks loose.
