If you're an Earth scientist you probably have thousands of photographs from your travels and, among all the shots documenting geologic features from the field, are a handful of images that you are proud of from an artistic point of view. Perhaps a photograph that captures the majesty of a mountain range during an afternoon storm. Or maybe a beautiful and unique close-up of intricate natural patterns in the rocks. We are looking for those images that have both geologic and aesthetic value. An image that communicates the wonder of geology but also makes the non-geologist say "wow, what a beautiful shot!"
