The Venture Bros. has been renewed for two more seasons, and Wired.com is celebrating by giving away free Blu-rays and DVDs of the show's fourth season.
"We've recently signed a new contract," The Venture Bros.' brainy creator Jackson Publick wrote Tuesday on his LiveJournal blog. "Doc [Hammer] and I officially started writing last week. Though, in truth, we technically started writing Season 5 last year when we accidentally brainstormed a handful of (we think) pretty hot new stories while we were writing the Season 4 finale."
You can witness that gory blowout in all its splendidly hilarious glory by scoring one of Wired.com's two The Venture Bros.: The Complete Fourth Season Blu-ray editions or one of three The Venture Bros.: Season 4, Vol. 2 DVD collections, both released Tuesday.
What happens after the unhinged mess known as Operation P.R.O.M.? Will overgrown nerd Henchman 21 return to the Monarch's side? Will lethal enforcer Brock Samson ever see his horny nemesis Molotov Cocktease again after annihilating all those mutant flies? Whither Hank and Dean Venture, after their graduation from a high school they've never attended in a single episode? Let it all out in the comments section. You'll feel better.
Whether you win or lose the giveaway, we're all winners, according to Publick, who said the contract also calls for "a long-form Venture Bros. special," to be unleashed at some unspecified future date.
"We've [also] been secretly working on an 11-minute Venture Bros. special for the past couple of months," he added. "A sort of light-hearted, one-off little aperitif we're producing and animating entirely in-house at Titmouse Studios in [New York] and [Los Angeles]. It will premiere sometime this summer."
