It happens to the best of us. We lapse into YouTube-itis, staring at the screen as we click from video to video rather than getting on with the more purposeful screen staring we define as “work.”

I blame this entirely on my son who imposes his obscure YouTube favorites on me. My son, however, is quite able to multitask while he watches YouTube. I think I can but fail. I end up sitting and staring.

Right now I’m watching “Understanding Teenage Boys” which means I’m not writing or editing or doing some marginally useful chore on our small farm. Yes, I usually watch something edifying like TED talks but I have to say right now I've learned quite a bit about poo poo jokes and grunting as a form of communication.
