In the wake of the tragic tsunami and earthquake in Japan this weekend, various gaming companies are uniting to send relief to the country.
Capcom will donate 100 million yen, or $1.2 million, to support victims of the disasters. For the next week, the company will also donate all profits from the iPhone version of Street Fighter IV to Japanese relief efforts.
FarmVille creator Zynga is also joining the effort, selling multiple new items in games like CityVille and Zynga Poker and giving all sales to a fund established with the Save the Children charity group. You can also donate directly to the fund.
According to the Andriasang blog, several other companies are also helping out. Nintendo and Sony will each donate 300 million yen ($3.6 million) while Namco Bandai will also add 100 million yen to the effort. Tecmo Koei will chip in 10 million yen ($123,000).
If you want to make a donation, contact a charity like the American Red Cross or The Salvation Army.
Let us know in the comments about any other games with proceeds going to Japan's aid.
