For those keeping tabs on the "2012 Reboot" of the Superman movie, titled Superman: Man of Steel, another casting announcement was made. Perhaps the 2nd most important announcement made after Briton Henry Cavill (best known in the U.S. from Showtime's The Tudors) was cast as Clark Kent/Superman back in January. Mrs. and Mrs. Kent were cast earlier this month: Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.
According to the L.A. Times, three-time-Oscar-nominated Amy Adams has been cast to play Lois Lane!
Don't know about you, but I am a HUGE Amy Adams fan. The Fighter is sitting in its Netflix envelope next to me (waiting for the kids to not be home to watch it), but I've loved every one of her other roles, from Doubt to Enchanted to Julie & Julia. Heck, even in Night at the Museum 2! I'm so excited to see what Ms. Adams will make of this potentially complex character.
Now we eagerly await some casting news on the villains!
