No, Joss Whedon's award-winning cult musical Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog doesn't have a sequel yet. But soon it will have a companion book, replete with previously unseen photos, lyrics, sheet music, a shooting script and new material from Whedon and stars Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion.
Titan Books releases the $20 Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog: The Book in paperback Tuesday for those still clinging to Whedon's geeky tragicomedy about a wannabe supervillain. The shiny coffee-table tome, as previewed in the image gallery above, should sate the Whedonverse until the much-anticipated sequel arrives (probably sometime after Whedon directs The Avengers).
Whenever the sequel comes, one expects it will be a bit more high-end than the acclaimed indie production Whedon released online after shooting it in six short days during the 2007 writers' strike, with the help of Maurissa Tancharoen and brothers Jed and Zack Whedon. We're on board as long as Harris' misunderstood mad scientist and Fillion's emasculated Captain Hammer are involved. And who doesn't need more of The Guild creator Day in their lives?
