STEM video game challengeAt GeekDad we are always on the look out for new apps and games that support the education of our children — and we are always keen to be able to provide feedback to developers about how they are doing.

The Cooney Center's Annual STEM Video Game Challenge is an excellent tool for not only acknowledging excellent educational video games, but continuing to educated and inform developers about the importance of child development and how through the development of quality games and digital technology they can be contribute to that.

Previous finalists in the competition have included excellent mobile apps like Toontastic and Motion Math — both of which are GeekDad favorites.

So, we'd like to encourage you to go and have a look at the entries and vote for your the entry you think is best.

You need to register to vote, but then can vote for as many of the games as you would like. Voters are encouraged to use the following criteria: originality; educational quality; STEM impact (targeting pre-K through 4th grade); and engagement.Voting closes on February 25.
