Is your national space program fashion-forward enough? Astronauts getting a little frumpy after the Cold War? Having trouble getting that space plane off the ground? Why not lift morale and brighten up the place with some fierce new uniforms designed by planet Earth's most infamous ex-spy?

Yes, Russia's famously outed sleeper agent Anna Chapman is back in yet another installment of her merciless publicity tour. This time, she's looking to help the ground crew at Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center work it down the runway in style. Frilly epaulets for all!

"Chapman told me that she intends to participate in designing clothing for the Khrunichev [Space] Center, in what capacity, designer or financially, she did not specify," the Gagarin Astronaut Training Center's top astronaut told Russian state media today.

Chapman's forays into institutional couture build off plans for her own clothing line, where she'll will be bringing the kind of eye for cuffs, collars and hemlines attainable only through years spent in the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).

You'd think that after getting caught by the FBI, costing Russia some of its own captured spies and not actually stealing any secrets, the SVR might try to keep a lid on Chapman and play down its foreign capering, as other countries have in such circumstances. But this is the new Russian intelligence community, where the penalty for exposure is overexposure.

Earlier this month, Chapman registered her name with Russia's patent office so that she can stamp it on bottles of perfume and vodka, in addition to her clothing line, and start raking in the cash.

Keeping the Chapman brand high-end may be a challenge, though, given her tendency for market saturation. She's already made appearances in Playboy, the Russian edition of Maxim and onNew Year's Eve TV shows. She also joined a pro-Putin youth group and taken jobs as an "advisor" to a Russian bank and as the host of REN TV's documentary series "World Secrets."

At this rate, how long will it be until Russia's would-be Mata Hari ends up pitching insomniacs on the official snuggy of the SVR during late night state TV? Only time will tell.
