“Fans are our friends, they are our community,” the art-rocker told Wired.com. “Twitter has completely changed my career.”
While The Dresden Dolls‘ music and worldview were inspired by punk rock’s DIY ethic, Palmer points out that today’s social networking allows for building communities at light speed when compared to the handcrafted zines and indie labels of yore.
