A pair of new glow-in-the-dark posters for Tron: Legacy and the original Tron artfully illustrate the sci-fi franchise's visual upgrade.
Artist Eric Tan said he tried to capture the parallels between the neon computerized world of the first film and Tron: Legacy's sleek environment, both of which he called the product of a "unique vision."
"Since similar elements such as disks, light cycles and recognizers exist in both, I thought showing the contrast between new and old was a visually interesting angle to play up," said Tan in a statement.
"Linking the two main characters was something I thought would add to the storytelling and the father/son dynamic between Kevin and Sam Flynn," he continued. "Since Kevin was the creator of this world, it dawned on me that using the disk as a 'halo' behind him would create an almost godlike presence."
The 16-inch-by-24-inch posters, in a limited edition of 240 each, go on sale Thursday at $40 each and are expected to sell out quickly. See the Tron poster below and follow @MondoNews on Twitter for the "on sale now" announcement.
