Iron Man and Spider-Man team up to solve a mystery involving three generations of Starks when Invincible Iron Man reboots with issue No. 500, starting Jan. 19, 2011. Writer Matt Fraction's multigenerational narrative trips across time, ensnaring Tony Stark's son and granddaughter in a technophilic apocalypse possibly of Shellhead's making.
"We flash forward about 40 years or so, to a world where we didn't renumber the book and see what life is like for Stark in Iron Man No. 500," Fraction told IGN. "So he's 70-some years old and has a son about his age now and a granddaughter about his age when he was a hard-partying college kid. Oh, and the world has completely gone to hell and is seemingly ruled by the Mandarin."
The first look at Iron Man's renumbered series, previewed in the gallery above, features eye-popping art from Salvador Larroca, Kano, Nathan Fox and Carmine Di Giandiomenico.
