And if so, does that matter? With storage space so cheap, why shouldn't we keep that iTunes download we no longer listen to?

My digital hoarding dilemma is socking away photos with the intention of doing something with them later, but never getting around to it. The DH, a photographer, keeps 8 infinitesimally different versions of each photo, so our digital snapshot stack is *very *large. My family photos have gone from prints sitting in a box awaiting albums to files on an external hard drive awaiting albums.
