Trailer: Four Lions Looks Like Spinal Tap for Terrorists

What’s funny about terrorism? The Four Lions trailer indicates there’s plenty of comedic territory to mine. It’s a fierce-looking farce that pokes fun at a crew of Keystone Kops-style wannabe terrorists.

The R-rated movie “is a whip-smart, laugh-out-loud comedy that illuminates the war on terror through satire and farce,” according to distributor Drafthouse Films. Four Lions is the first film to be distributed by the company, an offshoot of genre specialty theater Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas, home of Fantastic Fest.

Four Lions, the feature debut of director Chris Morris, opens Nov. 5 in select markets.
