This week's Friday Field Photo takes full advantage of the verticality (verticalness?) of a web page. Scroll up and down on this photograph of a wall of plane-laminated and ripple-laminated sandstone from the Permian Brushy Canyon Formation in west Texas.

This particular site is near Shumard Canyon in Guadalupe National Park.

Happy Friday!
