Upcoming graphic novel Tron: Betrayal will bridge the gap between the original movie and the sci-fi film's highly anticipated sequel, Tron: Legacy.
Mythmaking in the extra-size comic will include "the first appearances of the heroes and villains that will be seen in Tron: Legacy," Marvel Comics said in a press release Tuesday.
More from Marvel on the $5 comic prequel:
"Kevin Flynn is now in charge of the world's largest videogame company, Encom. The break-through game developer has built the Grid, a digital world filled with living programs, except now the new virtual world is about to develop a life of its own and, in order to control it, Flynn's going to need the help of an old friend ... named Tron."
Tron: Betrayal, written by Jai Nitz with pencils by Andie Tong and cover art by Salvador Larroca (Invincible Iron Man), hits comic shops Nov. 16, a month before Tron: Legacy's Dec. 17 release.
