TOKYO – Electronic Arts will launch a gardening simulator called My Garden on the launch day of the Nintendo 3DS, it said Wednesday.

My Garden is a 3-D garden simulator that EA says will boast "stunning visuals" and a free-roaming 3D camera. Players build gardens using a 300 collectible plants, which then attract animals who can be shooed away by shaking the 3DS when things get too crowded. An animated tanuki also narrates the game and helps the player.

Nintendo 3DS is the company's next portable game platform, which allows users to see 3-D visuals without wearing glasses. Nintendo will announce the release date and price for 3DS at the end of this month in Japan. It is expected to launch here at the end of 2010 and in Western markets in early 2011.

The game will also feature scored photo challenges and the ability to share items with other players.
