Valve is doing its best to give homemade Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns a boost.
The game publisher said Thursday that it will promote a new player-designed campaign every two weeks. First, it will highlight Two Evil Eyes – a desperate crawl through swampy, zombie-ridden terrain. To ensure that the campaign gets its due, Valve has set up 120 servers to host co-op and competitive Left 4 Dead 2 matches set in the user-generated level.
Left 4 Dead 2 is a cooperative shooter for the PC and Xbox 360 that pits four players against hordes of zombies. In competitive play, opposing players take on the roles of super-powered enemy zombies. Only the PC version of the game is capable of playing user-generated content.
In related news, Valve also said that new content for Left 4 Dead 2 and the Mac versions of both games will be revealed on the August 20 episode of Game Trailers TV on Spike.
