If the Thor and Captain America movies look as good as these newly released posters, 2011 should be a good year for superheroes.

The new Thor poster, to be unveiled at Comic-Con International, features a panoramic battle royale in the best mythic Marvel tradition. To further hype the film's May 6, 2011 release, Thor director Kenneth Branagh will join stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Hall H for a panel discussion.

Captain America: The First Avenger, starring Chris Evans, is slated for release next June.
