Dust off your plastic guitar and charge up your Microsoft Points. Microsoft will discount selected downloadable songs for the Xbox 360 versions of Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Lips beginning July 6.
The Live-A-Palooza promotion cuts the prices on a wide array of DLC bundles, full album downloads and individual tracks. And these aren't songs by no-name artists either: Mega-popular performers like Metallica, Weezer and Coldplay are all represented.
If you're serious about refining your plastic guitar chops, the full album Rock Band download for Megadeth's "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" is a fine place to start.
The discounted prices will be in play until July 12.
