What's the fate of Fahrenheit 451 now that Mel Gibson, who owns the movie rights, has gotten himself into hot water again?

Ray Bradbury, author of the sci-fi classic, says there's "no news" about the movie and that Gibson has other things on his mind at the moment. During a video filmed during a recent screening/Q&A honoring Francois Truffaut's 1966 film adaptation of Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury says he spoke to Gibson a couple weeks ago but has not heard from the actor-producer since his tabloid meltdown.

At just over a minute into the clip (embedded above), Bradbury, referring to Gibson's dispute with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, says: "Unfortunately, he's busy with the Russian girl, and I saw him on TV this morning swearing at her. So there you go."
