If you buy one WiiWare game, it should be the delightful Cave Story by the independent game designer Pixel.
A new blog post from Cave Story's WiiWare publisher Nicalis suggests that the publisher may have ports planned for a couple more of Pixel's games.
The image above appeared in the post. "We're back, kind of," the post hints.
The characters pictured are from two of Pixel's lesser-known games, Ikachan and Guxt. Both are already available as freeware, but Nicalis has done an excellent job of porting and localizing Cave Story for the Wii. Both games, should they see any kind of release, would be well worth the price.
Way back in 2009, Nicalis hinted via Twitter that it was considering both games for DSiWare.
