After surpassing $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide, Tim Burton's epic reworking of Alice in Wonderland lands in DVD and Blu-ray versions Tuesday with a host of extras. Among the goodies: Pre-production renderings of the film's trippy characters, including concept artist Bobby Chiu's portrait of the Bandersnatch monster (pictured above).

For completists eager to drill into the minutiae of Alice in Wonderland's Underland culture, the Blu-ray disc includes a deconstructed examination of the Oraculum scroll. Designed by sci-fi concept artist Dermot Power (Batman Begins, V for Vendetta), the calendar represents important dates with their own titles and illustrations.

The Blu-ray package ($40) comes with eight other bonus features dealing with the Futterwacken dance, visual effects involved in shrinking and enlarging Alice, and time-lapse video detailing Helena Bonham Carter's three-hour Red Queen makeover.

For the standard DVD ($30), extras include a behind-the-scenes look at Johnny Depp's transformation into the Mad Hatter and a primer on the making of Tweedledee, Tweedledum, Stayne and other Underland characters.
