Montreal's quirkiest YouTube auteur Patrick Boivin figured out an encore for his zany Iron Man vs. Bruce Lee viral hit by refashioning the Marvel superhero as a giggling tyke known as Iron Baby. The stop-motion clip, starring Boivin's own daughter, follows the metal-jacketed infant as she fends off a trio of machine gun-wielding bunny rabbits.
Boivin told Wired.com in an e-mail, "I wanted to start doing some clips with my baby girl in order to 'immortalize' her. This video might still be on the web 25 years from now for her to show her own daughter. I will then be the coolest grandfather in town."
Boivin, who also created the wild Ninja's Unboxing video for Google's Droid phone, recruited 3-D artist Jocelyn "Strob" Simard to build the Iron Baby costume.
"Basically," he says, "I had a couple of weeks loose, and so did Jocelyn. This one started with the idea of combining work with fun."
