Most of us have at some point owned a car so utterly lame it could only be called an automotive atrocity.
We've had a couple of them over the years. A 1978 Ford Econoline with more rust than paint. A 1991 Volvo 240 with intermittent brake lights and a lot of missing body trim. And, yes, a 1961 Ford Falcon station wagon. There was nothing wrong with it aside from the fact it was a 1961 Ford Falcon station wagon.
On Monday, we ran down some of the most agonizing automotive atrocities ever, a list of road-going refuse like the Yugo GV and Cadillac Cimarron. Now it's your turn, but we're adding a twist. Rather than have you list laughably lame cars like the Zunndap Janus or Triumph Stag, we want you to tell us about agonizing automotive atrocities you've actually owned.
These can be cars that never should have been built in the first place -- we know someone out there has a Pontiac Aztek -- or cars that might have been decent but were junk by the time you got it. Did you drive a '71 Pinto through high school? How about an AMC Pacer? Is there a clapped-out Jaguar in your driveway?
