If you're looking for a cool time in New York City, get the family over the American Museum Of Natural History and catch the International Polar Festival.

The festival is going to be a celebration of Antarctica with activities, talks and films all about the seventh continent. Highlights include:

  • Penguins and Polar Bears: The Tip of the Iceberg: An interactive show using puppets, games, and songs
  • Meet The Explorers: Guests will have a chance to meet incredible adventurers who have journeyed to Antarctica
  • The New York City premiere of the film Terra Antarctica: Rediscovering the Seventh Continent
  • Dr. Nebula’s Laboratory: Super Cold Show: An interactive theater presentation that investigates the effects of super cold temperatures on our planet.

The festival coincides with the opening of Race To The End Of The Earth . This amazing exhibit chronicles the courage, strength and determination of two competing teams of explorers to be the first to reach the South Pole.

So if your in New York and you want to chill with the family and learn about Antarctica head on over to The American Museum Of Natural History this Saturday.
