Looking to score two tickets with media access to the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, as well as a new Flip UltraHD digicam to capture the fun for posterity? Wow, what a coincidence. Wired.com is giving away that very same package!
The annual Bonnaroo blowout, which takes place June 10 to 13 on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, will feature musical hotshots Jay-Z, The Melvins, LCD Soundsystem, The Black Keys, Thievery Corporation, They Might Be Giants and many more.
The Flaming Lips are scheduled to perform Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon – recently named by Wired.com as the greatest concept album ever – in its mind-melting entirety. But that's just the sonics. The laughs will be supplied by Conan O'Brien, Tenacious D, Aziz Ansari, Margaret Cho and other jokers.
Wired.com's ticket giveaway gives one winner and a guest access into Bonnaroo's media compound, where they will be tasked with grabbing some quotes from performers expounding on their love of tech and culture. What is Deadmau5's favorite gadget? Who's OK Go's preferred nerd? Does Ween really still think that rippers and downloaders are ass tumors?
Ask them and find out, if you can. You'll get plenty of chances, since you'll get to pitch a tent in the guest camping area, which is behind the stage and about a 100-yard walk to the media compound. And you'll have your trusty new Flip UltraHD and a friend to keep you company.
To enter, drop a comment below letting us know why you might be the videographer we're looking for to craft up some remote coverage featuring Bonnaroo's best and brightest. We'll select the best comment, then hook the winner up with two tickets and the videocam. After the show, we'll splice together the winner's video and post a splashy reel. Comments must be submitted by 12:01 a.m. Pacific on May 31, 2010.
