Author Jeff VanderMeer, who has a long relationship with GeekDad, is up for a Nebula award! VanderMeer's Finch, has been nominated for 2009 Novel of the Year. The awesome start to 2010 for the VanderMeer household doesn't stop there; a few weeks ago Jeff's wife, Ann VanderMeer, was named Editor in Chief of Weird Tales magazine.
