Sony devices like televisions and Blu-ray players will be able to access and download content from the PlayStation Network video store, the company said at the Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday.
At its presentation at CES in Las Vegas, Sony said that the service, until now useful only to PlayStation owners, would be expanding to a wide array of its products. Existing PSN accounts and wallets will carry over to these new devices, creating a kind of unified account for your Sony hardware. Access to the PlayStation Network store will come to certain devices as soon as next month.
Sony also doubled down on its dedication to stereoscopic 3-D, saying an upcoming PlayStation 3 firmware update would allow for the playing and viewing of 3-D games and movies.
(You'll also need one of Sony's new 3-D Bravia TVs and a pair of 3-D glasses to see everything, of course.)
