Solomon Kane Movie Updates Pulp Fiction Classic

Pulp fiction hero Solomon Kane clambers off the ancient pages of Weird Tales and onto the screen in a fire-and-brimstone period piece devoted to the hyper-aggressive Puritan warrior.

Excerpted from the Michael J. Bassett-directed movie Solomon Kane now seeking U.S. distribution, this new video clip (embedded above) showcases a fight sequence as our heroes (played by Pete Postlethwaite, Alice Krige and Rachel Hurd-Wood) tangle with wicked denizens of the forest. Hellfire, swordplay and curses ensue.

The Solomon Kane character was introduced in 1928 by pulp writer Robert E. Howard, who also created Conan the Barbarian. Solomon Kane producers plan to release new action clips weekly through January.
