What once was a clever April Fool's gag could become one of the hotter gift ideas as the holidays approach.
Back on April 1, ThinkGeek.com unveiled a fake bit of Star Wars merchandise -- a Tauntaun Sleeping bag. Your little tyke could roll up snug and warm in the intestines of Hoth's mightiest steed.
But the plush alien animal corpse proved so popular that a cry went up from fans for somebody to make the joke a reality. Now a real Tauntaun Sleeping Bag (pictured) is now available for pre-order for $100.
It's the addition to the infinite universe of Star Wars gear that's getting the most buzz right now. But there are other new items that fans are gong to want stuffed in their Yoda stocking.
For example, another $100 or so buys the honor of donning a Jedi Bath Robe, complete with emblem (semi-nude mind tricks not included).
Finally, because gnomes are a tired, airfare-selling cliche, you can populate your garden with filthy desert scavengers -- thanks to the Garden Jawa. This one comes your way for only $35. There's no word yet on how much the Jawa Sandcrawler Garden Shed will cost, but stay tuned.
