A World of Warcraft guild has become the first to nail one of the most brutal achievements added to the game, the group said this week.

This "world first" goes to Ensidia, a group that plays on the Tarren Mill-EU server. The achievement, called "A Tribute to Immortality," requires a entire 25-man raid team to make it to the end of the Trial of the Grand Crusader instance without dying or having to start over.

Blizzard introduced the achievement in an expansion on August 4, and it has stood uncleared in the three months since – an eternity in WoW time.

Besides the 15 minutes of fame, the achievement comes also with a more tangible reward – a rare mount called the Crusader's Black Warhorse. World first achievements such as this are broadcast across all servers for anybody who happens to be playing World of Warcraft to see.
