Bug Labs is the maker of The Bug, a modular open source system for building devices. With different modules you can add GPS, motion detection or sound to your gadget. They are always releasing new modules to help build the widget you've always needed.
If making cool open source electronics wasn't enough Bug Labs in cooperation with Parts and Crafts is offering some great classes for kids ages 8 and up this December.
If your kids have been dying for their own Lightsaber then you need to be there on December 2nd for the"Build Your Own Lightsaber" class.
Want to give them a taste of old school electronics? On December 16th check out the "Crystal Radio Building Workshop"
There are also going to be a series of classes for the Arduino microcontroller platform that may interest teens and parents alike.
