We've finished applying bondo to the front fenders of our '83 Subaru Brat, and that means you've had enough time to pen a witticism for our latest Autopia caption contest.

For those of you whose memory is impaired from years of inhaling fumes in a Maaco paint booth, our most recent contest involved a red-haired, mustachioed man who during the 1980s was stuck on more car windows than Garfield. Rusty Jones went out of the automotive rustproofing business in 1988, but that didn't stop your merciless jokes.

The winner, from user 900hp, plays on the stereotype that all men with giant mustaches who leer through car windows must be sex offenders. "Psst. Hey kids. Over here. Yeah, me. Hey, come a little closer. OK. Ya know what? I'm not wearing any pants." Funny, but you didn't leave an E-mail. No prize for you.

Of course, Mr. Jones' impeccable coif led to comparisons to disgraced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, which is the subject of our prizewinning caption from levineam: "I hope you can look past Rod Blagojevich's haircut and love me for Tom Selleck's moustache."

Congratulations, levineam, you are the official winner of the Autopia WTF? Rusty Jones Caption Contest. Your automobile is now officially protected by a Rusty Jones warranty, null and void since the company's 1988 bankruptcy. We'll also be contacting you via e-mail about your official prize.

While we were impressed by some of the entries in this round, we must admit we're rather disappointed that no fans of 1970s R&B slow jams made a "Me and Rusty Jones" gag.

Stay tuned for upcoming WTF? caption contests, and next time include your e-mail address.
