LucasFilm and the Cartoon Network have been hyping this season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars as "Rise of the Bounty Hunters," and with good reason: Cad Bane's a better opponent than droids, and we're all waiting to see the Mandalorians in action.
This Friday's episode reminds viewers of the real menace to the Republic and to the Jedi, as Darth Sidious is fully revealed. Ordering Cad Bane to round up Force-sensitive children (the information stolen in last week's episodes), Darth Sidious reveals, in this clip provided by LucasFilm, his plan to turn them into an army of Sith-trained spies:
Ian Abercrombie, Sidious's voice, suggests the Sith Lord should be uncannily familiar: “He’s all the hidden secrets most of us have. Palpatine is the face, and Sidious is the dark soul. When people are that bad, they cannot change. Somewhere in the back of my head, I know that Sidious is always there and that he will take over. Evil often does.”
