Ever notice someone snapping a photo of the State Capitol? Paying cash for a used car? Or buying a pre-paid cell phone? If you watch "The 8 Signs of Terrorism," this fear-mongering video by the Center for Empowered Living & Learning (cool acronym: CELL), you might believe are they are a terrorist.

The CELL describes itself as a nonprofit that "exists to educate citizens on the realities of today’s global terrorism threats, and seeks to empower both individuals and organizations with the knowledge and the tools to proactively effect change." But this video, more than anything, reminds me of those old classroom scare movies they used to show in junior high warning about the menace of angel dust (yes, I'm that old).

Perhaps the most frightening thing in it is probably John Elway's xtra-wide collar. In fact, it would be massively improved if they replaced the soundtrack with "Night Fever." It gets a place of honor among the Iron Eagles, our collection of the appallingly bad videos of the national-security complex.
