TOKYO -- The upcoming U.S. release of the PlayStation 3 role-playing game* White Knight Chronicles* will feature more talking than the Japanese version, in a variety of different ways.
At a Q&A session with the game's developer Level-5, we learned some new details about the game, which will be released outside Japan in 2010. Voice chat will be added to the game's online mode, so you can talk with other players. In addition, Level-5 said that the game will include a feature it calls "live talk," in which the non-playable characters in the single-player mode will talk amongst each other while the game is in progress, adding to the realism of the experience.
Level-5 also said that the many upgrades to the Japanese version of the game, which has been available here since 2008, will be included on the disc for the U.S. version. These include many multiplayer online sub-quests and features called "GeoNet" and "Georama," which allow players to create their own web pages in the game, meet with other players, and create their own towns for players to explore.
