Evan Ratliff confirms that he had a lovely time at Rio Tinto stadium yesterday as the United States defeated El Salvador, 2-1. Here's a shot he took from his seat in section 24, at the north end of the stadium.
He reports that, as he entered, he overheard someone say "I've already seen a few guys I thought could be him." And there were a few other people he saw who appeared to be staking the stadium out. His one disappointment came when he tried to get pizza at Pier 49. Apparently, they'd run out of gluten-free crust.
