It’s that time again folks: Time to present the winner of our latest WTF? caption contest with a deadline decided on a whim. As you recall we featured the ugly mug of the Vermot (not to be confused with “vomit”) Veritas RS III, a half-million dollar 600-hp monstrosity in which “truth” reared its ugly head -- and rear. We're just thankful it's able to leave in a hurry.
Let’s get right to the top three captions, shall we?
- “I just spent 500 grand on a car that looks like a gay cat!” That came from mojono1, who apparently hails from Long Island. We tried reciting it with the proper accent but stopped when we discovered blood seeping from our ears.
- “Veritas RS III: Drive home alone confident -- So confident you won’t pick up girls we made it a one seater.” That one's from our most avid fan, Anonymous.
- “The bug from Men in black, now in car form!” Someone by the handle Edwaste came up with that one. Our top pick is the submission from Anonymous, but the people have spoken. Congratulations to Edwaste, who garnered 54 votes!
Sorry, Edwaste, but you won't get a prize. You neglected to follow the rules and supply us with his email address. In fact it seems not one entrant remembered the first lesson of kindergarten, which is “put your name on your paper” -- or in this case, an email-- to get credit for their work. No email, no prize.
