BioWare is now taking applications for the beta test of their forthcoming PC MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Applicants must create an account and submit to a system scan to be considered for early access to the game. The scan requires either Internet Explorer or Firefox, so don't bother signing up using Chrome or Safari if you value your time.
Star Wars: The Old Republic will take place three hundred years after the events that occured in BioWare's excellent single-player RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game promises to be more story-driven than your average MMO, with over one hundred voice actors delivering lines of spoken dialog. There's no firm release date for the game, so don't expect it before next year.
