The folks at trackevan.com last night found a video of Amanda Congdon conducting interviews on Venice Beach about swine flu. One person she chatted with looks quite a bit like missing writer Evan Ratliff (disguised with dyed hair, a goatee, and glasses). More important, he talks and twitches like him. And he mentions Landon Donovan.
I think it’s him. But I’ve also sent the video to other friends of Evan’s to confirm. And Amanda will be discussing the tape on Wednesday. (UPDATE: three friends confirm it’s really Evan.)

And the confusing message from @riot_sage appears to have been rearrange and resolved. As some clever folks discovered, you can take: “At Rome T, van to S. F. port. She beat them there. I may go into tame chat. Ending nigh.”
and rearrange into
“I/ go/t a me/s/sage/ f/rom E/van/ to/nigh/t/. He re/port/s, he/ may/ be at/t/ending/ the m/at/ch at/ Rio T/into.”
