Activision Blizzard says that the new massively multiplayer online game from the makers of *World of Warcraft *will cast a wider net.

Speaking Monday at the Deutsche Bank Securities Technology Conference in San Francisco, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick predicted the game will reach more players than Blizzard's Starcraft and Diablo franchises, according to Gamespot.

"What we've announced at Blizzard is that we have Starcraft (II) coming, Diablo (III) has been in production," Kotick said, "and a new, unannounced MMOG that has a little more broad appeal."

Little is known about Blizzard's new MMO, which is currently in development with the help of former *World of Warcraft *game director Jeff Kaplan. In a recent interview with Wired.com, Blizzard COO Paul Sams said the company's not concerned about the title cannibalizing WoW's player base because it will be significantly different from the successful fantasy RPG.

With* Starcraft* selling more than 11 million copies worldwide, the Diablo franchise selling 18.5 million copies worldwide, and World of Warcraft's 11.5 million worldwide subscribers, a "more broad appeal" must mean "global takeover."
