After walking away from the role more than a quarter century ago, Tom Baker is back as The Doctor.
As the newly released photo above reveals, Baker is hard at work in a U.K. sound studio recording five audio adventures for BBC Audiobooks. The five-part Doctor Who: Hornets' Nest series is written by Paul Magrs and stars Baker alongside Richard Franklin as Mike Yates, Susan Jameson as Mrs Wibbsey and Rula Lenska as the Hornet Queen.

Baker originally took over the part of The Doctor from Jon Pertwee in 1974, becoming the fourth actor to portray the benevolent alien in the world's longest-running science fiction TV series.
The show not only rose to unprecedented popularity during Baker's seven years in the lead, but his episodes were among the first exported to the United States. Most American fans of the British series were first exposed to Doctor Who through Baker's episodes.
The Hornets' Nest series will be released in the United Kingdom and United States from September through December of this year.
