As you may already know, following the success of our Penny Arcade Expo panel in 2009 on game reviews and journalism, we’re doing it again this year.

“We” are Chris Kohler (Wired.com), Gus Mastrapa (Wired.com, the Onion, Edge, etc.), Karen Chu (PlayFirst) and Patrick Klepek (G4).

“It” is a panel titled “Post-N’Gai, Post-EGM Video Game Journalism, or Where Do We Go Now,” on Friday, September 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Serpent Theatre.

Yes, the name is terrible. I was going to change it, but missed the deadline. What you need to know is that we’re going to be discussing the current state of the business now that major writers and publications seem to be exiting the field, one after another. What’s to become of us? And all that.

We’ll reserve as much time as possible for audience questions, as there were many, many people last year who wanted to pick our brains.

The entire PAX schedule is online now.

The audio of last year’s panel is also available.
